Welcome to the Sherlock Equipment FAQ about rental equipment page, below we have compiled a list of frequintly asked questions that we have collected over the past 10 years of renting equipment to our customers, and remember if you don't see your question, please feel free to ask, we will be happy to answer the best that we can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Do you offer isurance?
Answer: No, we do not offer insurance for our rental equipment.

Question: Do you offer a damage waiver?
Answer: No, we do not offer damage waivers.

Question: What is a damage waiver?
Answer: A damage waiver is a policy created by each rental company to cover a certain amount of damage to the rented equipment. However, it only covers what the rental company says it will cover, generally with the rental company charging a percentage of the rental (usualy 10-30%) to cover basic damage such as light scratches and small dents. In most cases, there is a high exclusions list such as hydraulics, structural damage, damage caused by neglect, misuse or abuse.

Question: What if the equipment becomes damaged during my rental?
Answer: Please stop the machine when its safe to do so and notify the office, we will address the issues.

Question: What if I have an issue after hours?
Answer: If you have a issue after hours please call our main number (360) 689-2208 opt.1 and leave us message and we will return your call to address and resolve the issue.

Question: Can I repair the equipment myself?
Answer: No, our equipment must be repaired by us and have proper documention of the repairs.

Question: Do you provide a opperator?
Answer: No, we do not supply a opperator, the customer is responsible for providing a qualified operator.

Question: Will you show me how to operate the equipment?
Answer: As per our insurance policy, we are not allowed to show or demonstrate the equipment on private property. However, we will explain the saftey features of how to start the machine, from there it is the responsibilty of the opperator to opperate the equipment.

Question: What if I get the machine stuck? Will you come get it out?
Answer: If this happens please notify us.

Question: Do you deliver? if so what is the cost?
Answer: Yes, Sherlock Equipment is capable to deliver and pick up all of our rental equipment. Cost is determined by milege from our yard to your jobsite.

Question: Can I haul the equipment?
Answer: Yes, as long as you meet the requirements of our customer haul requirements which can be found on our rental policy page.
